Holidays 教学设计

教学目标:

1. 学生能听懂、会说、会读April Fool’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, play tricks, celebrate, gather together, a big meal, roast turkey

2. 学生能听懂、会读、会复述有关April Fool’s DayThanksgiving Day的语篇。

3. 学生能创编关于April Fool’s DayThanksgiving Day的短剧并演一演。

4. 学生能体验节日的欢乐气氛和中西方文化差异,形成跨文化交际意识。

教学过程

Step 1 Preparation

1. T: Boys and girls, today is the open day of our school. What do you want to say to the teachers?

2. What is our topic today?(黑板及屏幕上都呈现Holidays

3. What holidays do you know?

4. What do you know about these holidays? Choose one to introduce in groups.

5. You know so much about holidays. Before class you prepared to show your favourite holiday in groups. Now it’s your show time.(学生课前准备好了四人一组展示一个节日,此时挑选两组上台展示。)

Step 2 Presentation

1. I like your shows very much. Now I want to show you two new holidays. Please watch and guess what holiday it is. (课前请两组学生偷偷排练了关于April Fool’s DayThanksgiving Day的短剧,此时其他学生根据他们的表演猜一猜是什么节日。)

学生猜出后,追问:How do you know that? 引导学生看剧本。

2. Now let’s learn more about the two holidays. First read the text on the white or pink paper, underline the information about the holiday.

What information can we underline? ( Date and activities)

学生自读手中节日的介绍,划关键信息。

3. Ask your partner questions about another holiday, then fill in the form.

What questions can we ask?(When’s it? What do people usually do?)

(学生反馈获取的信息,教师在黑板上贴图板书。反馈April Fool’s Day的信息时,板书:on the first of April, play tricks, have fun。反馈Thanksgiving Day时,板书:on the last Thursday of November, gather together, a big meal, roast turkey, pumpkin pie, give thanks

5. Let’s learn to read.(先听一遍April Fool’s Day的语篇录音)

  Try to follow the recording. (和录音一起读)

6. Now let’s listen to the text about Thanksgiving Day.

  Thanksgiving Day is coming soon. It’s on the 28th of November. Who will you say thanks to and what will you say?

7. Enjoy reading. Read the two texts with your partner. You can read together or you can read in turn.

Step 3 Consolidation

1. Try to introduce one of the holidays in pairs. Pictures on the blackboard can help you.(两人一组选择一个节日介绍)
