Step 1 Preparation
1. Greetings
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
S: Good morning, Nina.
2. Warm up
T: Boys and girls, let’s sing a song Hobbies. (合唱一遍)
T:(屏幕呈现)What are my hobbies? Can you ask me like this: (师唱) Do you have any hobbies?(引导学生唱着来问老师, 老师再唱着回答)

Step 2 Presentation
1. T: We are talking about our weekends. Look at these students.(屏幕呈现文中人物)They are talking about their weekends, too. Who are they?(学生指认人物后,屏幕呈现导言部分)
Who can read this paragraph for us? (请一生读导言部分后, 教学词组talk about)

2. T: How do they spend their weekends? First let’s ask Wang Bing. (引导学生齐问: Wang Bing, how do you spend your weekends?)

T: Read the dialogue in groups of three. (要求学生打开书, 三人一小组分角色朗读这一段. 师检查两组.)
3. T: Helen often watches TV at home. What else does she do at the weekends? How do Yang Ling, Su Hai and Su Yang spend their weekends?(屏幕上呈现这四人的头像)
Let’s watch the cartoon. But this time you can’t hear them. You should guess what they’re talking about. OK? (屏幕呈现文字说明:看无声卡通,猜一猜图中人物是如何度过周末的。看完后,两人一组讨论一下。)
学生看完后,师问How does/do … spend her/their weekends? 可在屏幕上通过图片提示学生回答。学生回答时, 教学单词cartoon, catch, butterfly, of course.
学生答完后,跟读课文最后一段, 然后三人分角色朗读. 师检查两组.
Step 3 Summary
通过刚才的学习,我们学会了如何谈论周末生活。当询问对方是如何度过周末时,可以问: _____________________________ 对方回答: ____________________________ 当询问其他人是如何度过周末时,可以问:________________________________

Step 4 Consolidation
T: I have some wonderful pictures. Who are they? 和学生一起指认人物: Miss Jiang(Science teacher), Mr Wang(PE teacher), Garfield, SHE
How do they spend their weekends? Please choose one character you like, then play him or her. Talk about their weekends in pairs.(屏幕呈现说明: 请你把自己想象成图中的一个人物, 谈谈你所扮演的这个人物是如何度过周末的, 两人一组讨论, 参考句型: How do you spend your weekends? I often … Sometimes I …)
学生准备好后, 每一个人物都请3人上台扮演(A, B, C), 由下面的学生提问, 扮演者一一回答后, 再播放录音, 出现文字, 看谁的回答最接近录音内容.
Step 5 Homework
1. 跟读磁带,做到熟练朗读课文,会复述课文。
2. 抄写词组和课文并翻译。
3. 先了解自己好朋友的周末生活,再写一篇小作文,介绍自己和好朋友的周末生活(不少于8句话)。
