5A Unit10 Review and check (Part C/D)

Step1 Free talk 5’

1.      T: Nice to meet you, boys and girls. You’re my students today. May I know your names? Do you have any hobbies?

2.      T: I know some of you. Do you know me? Do you want to know me? Here are some pictures about me. (出图提示)Would you please say sth about me?  

S: Say sth about the teacher.

3.      T(根据学生的回答,结合自己的情况了解学生的情况。)

4.      T: OK. You know me now and I know you’re good at English. OK. Let’s learn together. The title of this unit is “Review and check”. So at first let’s review.

Step2 Revision

1.      Review the words and phrases. 5’

T: What we will review?(板书Unit6、Unit7、Unit8)In the three units we’ve learned two groups of words.Group1: the things we do. Such as: stand, walk, read a newspaper. Group2: the things we need at a camp. Do you remember them? Discuss in groups and try to find the words or phrases of the two groups.

2.      Play a game: Listen and guess 5’

T: You know so many words and phrases. Well done! Can you use them? Let’s play a game. Listen and guess. What does she have? What is she doing? Listen and guess.

3.      Review the drills 5’

T: Do you like the game? What is the game about? It’s about the things they have and the things they are doing. What sentences do we use to talk? Now discuss in groups and try to sum up the sentences about the two topics. Here are some tips for you. At first, pay attention to the questions and answers. No2, try to cooperate with your group members. No3, when the music is changed, you should exchange with the other group. Now, begin.

Step3 Check

1.      T: I think you know the words, phrases and sentences very well. Can you use them? Now let’s check. When we use them we should talk properly and write correctly. At first it’s the talking time.

  1. T: Look, here are two pictures. You have one of them, and your desk mate has another one. They are different. Let’s find the differences between them. Try to use the sentences on the blackboard to talk with your desk mate. And we’ll see who finds more differences.
  2. T: At first, let’s make an example. (Ask one student.) What does Yang Ling have in your picture? What is she doing? My picture is different with you. Ask me.
  3. S (Find the differences and talk in pairs.)
  4. (Check the answer together.) Now let’s check. What are the differences?

3.      Writing time

T: I see you can use the sentences to talk well. Can you write well? Now it’s writing time.

(1) Part C 10’

a.       T: I have two stories for you. What should you do about Story1? (指屏幕让学生说)You should read and write. What about Story2? You should make a dialogue and then write it out.

b.      T: Here is Story1.At first, let’s read and finish it. I have some tips for you.

c.       T: This is Story2. It has no words. Try to make a dialogue with your desk mate. Here are some tips for you.

d.      (Choose some groups to show their dialogues.)

e.       T: Look, this is my dialogue. Help me finish it.

(2) Write a new story. 2’

T: The boy wouldn’t like the pineapple, because he’s reading a good story. What is it? Look! Do you like it? Look at the story. Read together. It’s the beginning of the story. Then you should write what they have and what they are doing. At last, the story should have an ending. What are their feelings? Now try to write a dialogue or a passage by yourselves. The tips can help you.
