新三学教学理念背景下的教学设计

教学内容: 译林版牛津小学英语五年级下册Unit8 Birthdays (Story time)

教学目标:

1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:birthday, eleventh, eighth, April, together, game, March, July, August, December.

2. 能听懂、会读、会说短语:a birthday cake, eat noodles, have a party, play games.

3. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语:When’s your birthday? My birthday is on…

4. 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

5. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论自己或他人的生日。

教学重难点:

教学步骤:

Step1 Greeting and free talk

1.      Greeting:

T: Class begins.

S: Stand up.

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, Miss Zhu.

T: Look, there are some teachers here, let’s turn back and say “Hello” to them.

Ss: Hello.

T: Thank you. Sit down, please.

2.      Free talk:

  Introduce more about yourself.

T: Boys and girls, let’s have a free talk. Can you introduce yourself and let us know you more? Such as your name, age, hobby, favourite food or drink? (2 students)

  Sing a song.

T: Boys and girls, do you like singing? Let’s sing a song. (The months)

  OK. You sing beautifully. What is the song about?

S: It’s about the months.

T: Great.(PPT) How many months are there in a year?

S: Twelve.

【分析】由于教师借班上课,师生间的不熟悉感会造成学生紧张的情绪,如果这种紧张感不及时消除会影响学生整节课的知识摄入,因此在课堂教学的起始阶段,通过师生间的问答,互相介绍,歌曲等各种形式使学生放松,从而获得更好的学习效果。

3.      Review.

T: Now, I have some questions about months. Watch carefully and try to answer, if you know the answer, please put up your hand, OK?

【分析】师生相互熟悉之后,通过快速问答游戏复习月份单词,为接下来的新知学习做好准备。

Step2 Presentation and practice

1.      Say the date.

T: You did a good job today. Boys and girls, which month are we in now?

   S: It’s the thirteenth of May.

【分析】因为本节课在表达生日时需要用到序数词,但这却不是本课的教学重点,本着“促进学生能力发展”的新三学中的一个理念,在学习课文之前通过学习今天几月几号,进行序数词的渗透,也帮助学生在之后的运用可以顺一些。

T: We are talking about our birthdays. Some students are talking about their birthdays too. Who are talking about their birthdays? When are their birthdays? (PPT)Let’s watch and answer.

T: Now, you are Su Hai, please give us a short report. Talk in pairs first.

【分析】“新三学”课堂的研究核心是“坚持为促进学习而教”,笔者也将这一概念融入课堂教学中。课文的左半部分主要为Miss LiSu Hai的对话,内容主要是询问Su Hai的生日及她在生日时所做的活动,重点要求学生初步理解对话内容,掌握表示生日活动的词组及询问生日的问答,学习不同的时间副词及如何有序地表达。基于这样的学习重点,在进行教学设计时,笔者遵循“听说领先”的原则,设计看动画回答问题,了解文章大概内容。由于序数词是本单元学习重点却不是这节课的重点,单独教学序数词也会破坏课文教学的整体性,因此,教师通过课本80Look and write练习将序数词和课文学习很好地糅合在一起。“促进学习而教”的其中一方面,教师要开放学生的视野,不仅局限于课本内容,而要提升学生持久学习的能力,因而,在具体学习课文之前,要求学生根据图片猜一猜Su Hai在她的生日都做了些什么,先预测,后证实,学生在这个环节中也能拓展语言能力,提升语用水平。之后进行听读,对学生的朗读进行指导和检测,并结合书P80 Think and say进行report,综合检测学生的掌握水平。

【分析】右半课文与左半结构类似,教学方式也类似,但也有不同。由于之前学习了苏海的生日活动,因此,想要知道麦克是怎么过生日的,你有什么问题想问他?引导学生用学过的句子进行提问,在实际教学中,这是让笔者特别感到惊喜的部分,学生能提出的问题比原本设想得要多得多,也更丰富。提问之后,让学生带着问题去文中寻找答案,这也是一种阅读方法的指导。

【分析】这是本课的综合性学习活动,在要求学生进行笔头输出之前,老师先带着他们理了一遍课文结构,明白怎样去写,之后再用本课学到的词句写一写自己的生日活动并集体反馈。

“新三学”主张“理解学生,支持学习,提升学力”,教师在备课时首先要充分理解,并将这个理念融入其中,让学生真正受益。尤其对于小学高年级的课,要提升学生的思维发展,支持学生的学习能力。
